Have you ever felt pulled between what your heart wants and what your head is telling you? Maybe you’re hurt and want to speak up, but you’re also telling yourself you should just let it go. Wise Mind makes room for both. Your feelings offer information about what matters to you, and the facts help you see the situation more clearly. Bringing them together can help you find a response you feel good about after the moment has passed.

Instructions:
Pause and listen to both sides. Take a slow breath. Ask yourself, “What am I feeling, and what do I feel like doing?” Then ask, “What do I actually know about this situation?” For now, just notice the answers. You don’t have to decide anything yet.
Make room for both to be true. You might say, “I’m hurt, and I don’t yet know what they intended,” or “I’m nervous, and I’ve prepared for this.” Notice how that little word and lets you acknowledge your feelings while keeping the bigger picture in view.
Choose your next step with care. Ask yourself, “What would help right now, given how I feel, what I know, and what matters to me?” Maybe it’s asking a question, setting a boundary, or taking a break before responding. You don’t need a perfect answer—just a next step that gives both your feelings and the facts a seat at the table.
