Reframe the Situation

When something stressful happens, ask yourself: Is there another way to view this situation? Reframing helps reduce the emotional impact of negative events.

Here are some simple questions to ask yourself to get a new perspective:

  • What would I tell a friend about this?

  • What would a friend tell me?

  • How would this look if I were looking at it from a zoomed out perspective, like from a balcony?

  • What might I tell myself about this 5 years from now?

Share in the comments what came up for you as you did this. Writing it out better encodes it in your brain, so that you can remember it next time you need it.
